A light golden beer with a big personality, bursting with fruity hop flavours, citrus notes and a refreshing finish.

First brewed as a seasonal special in 2004, this marvellously refreshing beer joined the Oakham core range in 2008.

Oakham’s brewing team have been visiting the USA hop fields for many years in search of the best quality hops. Inferno’s unique flavour comes from five carefully selected hop varieties from the Yakima Valley – Sterling, Amarillo, Centennial, Cascade and Chinook.

Bottle from YNWA Beershop, Kolding. Pours clear yellow with a bubbly head. Husky grain and dusty grassy hops. Quite herbal. Thin and short bitter finis. Quite a disappointment! Papercuffs and cellar. BB is 4 more month. Hmmhh.

28/03/2014 Bir&Fud Bottega (500ml bottle). Dorata pallida, limpida, schiuma abbondante, poco persistente. Al naso sentori di malto, biscotto, limone, diacetile. In bocca è spenta, acquosa, manca di spinta. Non pervenuta. Corpo leggero, watery, carbonazione soft. Deludente, in pessime condizioni, da riprovare senz’altro, magari in cask...

50cl bottle I picked up at Schneider’s. Pours a clear, dark gold with some thin, sudsy, white head. Nose is very fruity and inviting, some lemon, some orange, a little honey, some lemon tea, light pear, light plum, some mild malt, lightly floral. Flavor is similar, lemon tea, honey over white toast, a little star fruit, very light apricot, a little grass, a hint of pine. Clean finish. Pretty nice beer overall. Not a ton of complexity, but good flavor.
