Our Red Bridge Amber Ale was home-brewed in Luxembourg through the winter of 2014-15 before going into commercial production in May 2015. Red Bridge is specifically designed to be a session beer – smooth, easy-drinking, with a subtle malt character and restrained bitterness. It’s the sort of beer which goes straight on down, and is suitable for anyone of legal drinking age. Red Bridge is brewed at the Letzebuerger Stad Brewery in Luxembourg City.

Clear medium amber colour, good frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Sweet malt nose, caramel, rye bread, yeast, bit fruity. Mild flavour, medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, fruity notes. Light sweetbitter aftertaste, light to medium body, watery texture, average carbonation, rather flat beer yet drinkable.

Bottled 330ml. -Amber coloured, small off-white head, weak caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, touch of fruits and sugar with notes of hops. Short bitterish sweet finish. Nothing special here.

330ml bottle into my huge ’Judas’ glass at home on 22nd Nov 2015. The dusk is drawing in and the sun has gone, only 15:00 but winter has hit Shropshire and it’s getting colder. The sediment joined the liquid in my glass, so I had a misty, cloudy bodied beer, dull terracotta red in colour, the head an off-white topping. The aroma was of sweet red berries and caramel esters, the taste a little ’tarter’ with again berries to the fore. Highly carbonated it was almost fizzy in nature, which hindered my flavour finding somewhat. This is OK, but not as exciting as I had hoped for. I shared a bottle of this a month or so ago but wanted to have one to myself before rating: glad I did because this has come out better than the split bottle by some way, which I found wanting, fairly bland and uninteresting. Come on Luxembourg, someone brew something world beating!

Heller, blumig malziger Antrunk. Der Hopfen ist rund, das Bier wirkt zwischenzeitlich wässrig. Dann wieder würziger und süßlich bitter bei trocken herben Grundton. Mild hopfig, süffig. 10/11/10/10/11/10

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and fruits, leading to a bitter finish.
