Bucegi was brewed for the first time at Reghin in 1984 and it has rapidly become the most valued beer brand of Romania. Distilled in all major breweries of the country (Timisoara, Miercurea Ciuc, Cluj, Constanta, Bacau, Hateg, Suceava, Oradea, Galati, Brasov, Sibiu, Pitesti, and Buzau), for export means as well, Bucegi turned out to be the dominant national brand.
Ignored in the beginning of the transition years, Bucegi was withdrawn from the market in 1995. BRAU UNION Romania re-launched the brand in February 2002, wishing to fasten a tradition with the past and its good things.
Having been close to the Romanian consumers through the hardships of the past, Bucegi stands for friendship and honesty.
Bucegi is brewed in Arad, Miercurea Ciuc, Constanta, and Hateg. Bucegi is a popular blonde beer with an alcohol concentration of 4.5% and an original extract of 10.3%.

Minimal off white head on flat golden body. No aroma. Thin & watery. Tasteless crap. That is awful Although at Β£0.38 for a 500ml chilled can from the shop in Bucharest I suppose I shouldn't complain.....

500ml can kindly shared by djoeye. Pours an one-finger thick white head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass. Clear golden body. Vague aroma of grass and cereal. Similar restrained taste of some sweet fruits and cereal. A little sweetness to the ending. Soft in the mouth. Drinkable but rather empty. (Pivoteka H7, TromsΓΈ 03.09.2019).

500ml bottle, thanks to Kolshtrinker for this. Pours clear gold, small white sheet atop. Aroma of pale malt grains. Taste is a little disappointing, though it is a few months out of date. Light, watery, lacking a nice malt sweetness, low hop presence, some corn. Not very good really.

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks very simple but okay. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Malty aroma. Starts simple malty, metallically. Dry. Some soapy-old notes. Finish a bit flat. Okay.
