Bottle. A hazy golden to amber colored beer topped by a small, dense off-white head. The aroma has bread and caramel, with notes of toffee, grass and pine cones. Some peppery hints and a touch of orange marmalade. It's medium bodied and nicely carbonated, soft, with a very light sweetness. The flavor is mostly fruity, with some bready, toffee-ish notes. Orange marmalade, grass, some caramel and dark rye bread. Nice bitterness too, lasting for quite some time. A pleasant bitter indeed. 220202

Bottle from Gulating. God looking, almost clear dark golden body with a fine off-white head. Aroma has malt, some toffee and mature citric fruit. Taste is on the malty side with hint of caramel, nuts and moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Very typical British style, tastes almost like served from cask. Still far from the best within the style, feels somehow not very fresh.
