500ml bottle. ABV is 5.3%. Pours amber with a medium yellowy head that fades to a halo. Some lacing on the glass. Typical grainy Kilikia aroma, plus notes of caramel and black currents(?). Taste is sweet, malty, grainy followed by a medium bitter finish.

Amber/golden, white head. Aroma is not so appealing, some caramel malt and some yeast mixed with something that I think should not be here.Taste is better, malty crystal grain, caramel and actually some grassy to floral hops. On the weaker side of medium body.

Once you get past the smell of paste, it’s an average lager, heavy on the malt. Taste and smell of wet paper, cereal grains. Main feature was sampling a beer from Armenia.

Pours a ligth amber colour. Fairly neutra aroma, a slight maltiness. Medium body, very unclean malts with loads of metal and cardboard.

Dobre jak na ten browar armeński lager o koloże jasnego bursztynu. Piana ładna da radę sporo wytrzymać. W smaku pełne i treściewe jak na gatunek. Ogólne piwo nie męczyło i dobrze się piło

The second beer in my random weird beer tasting evening, this beer will bring my ’round the world’ drinking expedition to 70 countries on BA, God knows on RB! Green 33ml bottle bought from a Russian shop in Antwerp, Belgium. Poured into a Duvel glass on 28 Jan 2011, the beer was best before 19 Apr 2011. Lovely looking beer, clear, bright and a deep copper/amber colour. On top a crown of snowy white foam. Malty aroma, dry more than sweet, although as the beer warmed it became sweeter, caramel and treacle esters began to appear. The taste was unexpected, one of the maltiest lagers I’ve ever had (think Tusker Malt from Kenya is the most malty I’ve reviewed). A hop dry bitterness comes towards the end of the mouthfeel, which evens up the tastes nicely. Pleasantly suprised, a malty, full bodied lager, well worth seeking out.

bottle, kindly donated by jaghana - merci! Clear deep golden colour with a brown touch, large off-white head. Malty, slightly fruity with raisins and other dried fruit, slightly hoppy. Quite ok.

Somewhat aged sample Very good, whipped eggwhite-like head; fed by lively carbonated copper beer. Toasted malts and nutbread, oxydized, maltsyrup - sweet. Oxydized grain, less sweet than suggested by the nose. Metallic streak rather than really bitter; some (old?) hops all the same. Sweetness grows warming up, of course, turning cornflake-like. Some slickness, more than light bodied. Oxydized lager.
