In the early days of Struise, Pannepot had a few different versions. Pannepot (regular) / pannepeut (slightly less rosted malts) , Pannepot Reserva (aged on wine barrels), and pannepot Grand Reserva (aged on wine + calvados barrels) . Other barrel types ( such as Port) were released under the 'Pannepot Special Reserva' brand.
Over time, things have gotten a bit less clear, and now special versions have also been released as Pannepot Reserva, whilst some red wine barrel aged versions have been released under 'Pannepot Special Reserva' .
We - The Belgian Admins of Brewver - have decided to keep this entry only for the Wine BA versions of Pannepot. Either marketed as Reserva or Special reserva (essentially the same beer, different batch). If you happen to know the specific barrel (which was sometimes stated, but not always) you can rate that as a batch here. For other versions ( Bourbon BA, for instance) there's another entry.

Backlog October 2016. Bottle 2010 edition. Almost clear, deep amber body under a small beige head. Strong and nice aroma of dark malt, caramel, chocolate, dry fruit, wood and vinous alcohol. Taste is the same elements as found in aroma, quite sweet but the alcohol makes a god balance even id it feels pretty camouflages. Fine body and long lasting, very pleasant aftertaste. World class beer.

Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Appearance - deep brown with bright red chinks. Nose - barrel, light sherry oxidation and raisins. Taste - wood, cherries and fudge. Palate - medium bodied, sweet middle. Sweet and dey combo on the finish. Overall - good.

Very dark brown, small brownish head. Smell is fairly tart, lots of red wine, some balsamic. Fair carbonation, medium body. Taste is very weird. Some acidity, very drying, a light sweetness and something reminding of licorice root. Berries and figs. Odd.

Magus, mõru, šokolaad, röst. Suht pärmine. Hea, nagu ikka, aga ilmselt tahab natuke aega.

Right. Also has a slightly sour vinous note and remind me of Oerbir Reserva but this is very balanced and soft. Quite sublime.
