on tap at face off in moscow. pours a dark chestnut with a medium tan head. aroma of berries, raisins, fruity hops, apricots, caramel. flavour of spruce, coffee, bitter chocolate. bitter roasty finish. extremely drinkable for 11% abv.

Draft. Dark brown, almost black, cream-colored foam. Aroma: black currant, full of tropical fruit, passion fruit and mango, a little citrus. Taste: very fruity, honeydew, citrus, a little pine bitterness, black currant, malt. Cool!

Draft sample @ TCBW ’16. Brune foncée, col blanc-cassé. Arôme au nez fruité, houbonné très plaisant, malt grillé fin caramel en retrait donnant plus l’impression d’une Black IPA impériale. Palais reste centré sur les maltés, houblonné en retrait un peu huileux avec une impression de houblonnage à cru. Résineux et à la fois tropical d’houblons australiens. Le profil malté tranche bien, le tout est finement collant aux lèvres.

Tap at TCBW. Pours dark brown. Aroma is butter, fruits, citrus, roast. Flavor is hoppy, citrus, tangerines, roast. Finish is roast bitter. Overall: ok-ish.

Tap at TCBW2016. Opaque black color, small steady beige head. Aroma has some toasted notes and perharps hints of diacetyl. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Licorice, fruity hops, some toffee. A bit ashy even. Imperial black ipa.

On tap at TCBW 2016. Very dark brown, close to black, with a surprisingly light beige head. Nice marriage between roasted malt and hops. Dark chocolate, licorice, pine and hints of citrus. Fresh and quite refreshing BIPA.
