500ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty and resinous, fruity hoppy aroma, notes of blueberry and blackberry. Taste is initially sweet, chocolately dark malty and fruity hoppy, notes of blueberry and blackberry, later - with collapsing malty backbone - more and more bitter and purely resinous hoppy, slightly alcoholic; lingering bitter and slightly warming, alcoholic finish. A bit puffed-up, swanky, shows off with excessively high abv and IBUs.

Pours dark brown, beige foam, some lacings. Sweet hop liquor nose, bit of roast and yes, going to black barleywine direction. Tropical stuff. Taste is hoppy, bitter, herbal in regards of hops somehow. Not so fruity anymore and finished with sort of leathery feel, slight smoke. Drinks like a nice black IPA, so that 11% abv is really a surprise, drinks much lighter than that. Awesome beer, really unique actually.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Really dark brown, beige head. The aroma is not that promising - dull citrus pith and resin, some gluey/alcohol harshness, no hoppy brightness of malty richness. The taste follows, unfortunately. Harsh pithy gluey buttress and no good hops. The malts are there, somewhere behind, being obscured but the harsh bitterness and booze. Disappointing.

It pours jet black with a small tan head. The taste is rich roasted malt, liquorice, tar, charred wood, earthy, eccles cake, dried fruits, dark chocolate, plum and date. The taste is bitter, juicy, rich roasted malt, plum, date, dried fruits, fruit compote, bigger chocolate, some alcohol warmth and touch of soap citrus with a dry, roasty finish. Mediumbody and fine carbonation. Flavoursome.
