Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is estery yeast with sugary fruit, calvados, apple, malt, oak, touch of alcohol. Fairly sweet flavour with a sugary oaky finish. Medium body. Rich Tripel with some tasteful notes from the Calvados barrel.

37,5cl Fles van De Laat. Iets mistig diepgouden kleur, witte kraag. Oude koekjes, appelmoes, alcohol, hint van hout, rode appels, esters, alcoholische en bittere finish. Body is medium, voelt af en toe wat dun. Degelijke tripel, maar had hier als tripel-liefhebber meer van verwacht.

Draft at Taplokaal Gist. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Yeasty, stone fruit, Brett funk. Taste: Yeasty, malty, Calvados, fruity apple and stone fruit, spicy notes, Brett funk. Tripel with a wild twist. Moderate sweet, light tartness. Medium body, below average carbonation. Nice.
