Clear dark brown to black beer, small irregular beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: pretty roasted, coffee, dry, bit dusty, malty, dark chocolate. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: nice roast, coffee, mocha, bit watery, bit sweet, malty. Aftertaste: soft roast, hop bitterness, decent, malty finish.

[33cl can from Beer52.] An opaque black pour with a thick beige head and an attractive golden glow when held to the light; aroma of burnt rubber and old leather; but then disappointingly thin with a chocolate taste and a weak finish. A curate's egg of a beer.

330ml can at home on 15th Dec 2018, my second beer in a random tasting evening with myself. Poured into a Hoegaarden Grand cru stemmed tulip glass. A little disappointed to be honest, expected more flavour and depth from a Moor Beer Co Porter. Black bodied, tanned foaming cap. Chocolate and coffee esters in the nose and taste, just not enough oomph for me. I think this is the first Moor beer I have not raved about, or at least rated highly.

Appearance is very dark, nearly black, a 1-2 finger light brown mocha head. Aroma- chocolate, toffee, hop hints, toast, trace of dark fruit, nutty malt. Taste- smooth and chocolatey, nutty, coffee, toasty dark malt, toffee, short dry bitter finish.

Keg at Waterloo Tap. Low key dark chocolate aroma. Dark, a red tint in the light. Blotchy beige head. Medium bitter. Dark chocolate. Coffee. A hint of smoke. Light and on the thin side but the soft carbonation elevated it... floaatyyy. Middling finish. Enjoyable but kinda lacks substance. However for the style I guess that makes it more sessionable.
