Cask handpull at The Tickled Trout, Wye. OK ESB, some acidity on finish, reasonable fullness in mouth. Moderate condition. Malts have some dark fruit. I had a cold, so it was difficult to pick anything more out.

Cask at the Wharf, Aalborg. Clear, almost copper-colored beer with a small off-white head. Weak aroma of caramel, malt and a nice fruity hopiness. Quite hoppy and malty flavor, balanced and nice. Thin to medium body. A really quaffable beer. (070331)

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen, A dark amber beer with a thick orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of both citrus and caramel, and the flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and nuts, as well as light notes of butterscotch, leading to a dry bitter end.
