Unclear deep golden in the glass and a thin layer on top Decent intensity in the aroma. Caramel malt, herbal, fruity and some yeast Ok balanced sweetness and an ok duration Mellow fine carbonation level. Easy to drink The flavor is more or less the same as the aroma Caramel malt, herbal, fruity and some yeast Quite ok and easy drinkable beer. Especially by the campfire after a long day in this lovely surroundings [On tap @ source]

From tap at Mo Laksegard, with KL and KE. Medium dark golden. According to brewer it is brewed with a bit of honey. Persistent white head. Fruity aroma and taste of grass, flower fields and a bit of crystal malt. Good bitterness in taste and aftertaste. Well-balanced with high drinkability.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s a clear, golden beer with good carbonation and a good off-white head. Grass, apples, slighlty sourish and fresh nose with wheat and biscuits. Biscuity, fruity and citrusy flavor with grass and some wheat. Medium body, crisp mouthfeel. Grassy finish with pleasant bitterness. Very refreshing, but it seems to be slighlty infected. Couldn’t get a reasonable answer on what was intended, so I guess it’s the way he wants it. 091107

From keg at the brewery during the RBNAG 2009, ABV is 4,7%. Almost clear, golden body with a nice white head. Aroma is light malt and acidic fruity. Flavor is also quite light malty with an apple type acidity and hint of yeast. Medium to thin body with an acidic aftertaste. I have problems to decide if I really appreciate the acidity in this beer or not. It isn’t rally unpleasant, but a bit odd in this kind of beer IMO. I think I might be able to get used to it at this level, but I won’t go bananas with my score anyway. A fun experience to visit the brewery anyway.

On tap at the brewpub / farm "gasthof". Served by the brewer himself, I also had a brief look at the brewery. ABV is 3.75%. The only beer on at the moment, but "Mørk Suldøl" is also a regular and the low ABV "Slåttøl" is a summer seasonal. The farm / brewery is situated next to one of Norway’s best salmon rivers. "Glad Laks" (= Happy Salmon = Jolly Fellow) is a golden lager, slightly hazy with a moderate head. Pleasant but moderate malty aroma, hints of butterscotch, toffee and melons. Flavour and mouthfeel are rather weak, with too modest hops. Some "dusty" / "dry" hops in the aftertaste. I expect the "Mørk Suldøl" to be better than this.
