A classic beer could give some confidence in such confusion. For example, märzen. Amber-coloured malty lager, which has survived unchanged through hundreds of springs.

Bottle 330ml (BB 02/2018). Brown colour, small off-white head. Caramel, bready aroma. Light-bodied. Caramel, bready, grass, berries. Quite watery. Probably past its prime last spring

Bottle. Pours copper, with a bit of foam. Nose has rye, lots of caramel, somewhat sweetish and lightly spicy. Bready. Taste is bready too, lots of this sourish grainy caramel texture. Sweet overall but some light bitterness working to balance it. Not doing too good job as its still very caramelly and a bit soapy. Can drink it.

Bottled@HBF2016. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grassy, herbal and wooden with some bready malts. Flavour is quite similar. Easygoing and easy to drink.

0,33L bottle, batch 1. Pours copper with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is very sweet, fruits, caramel. Flavor is sweet, malt, caramel, bitterness, fruits, faint buttery notes. Finish is hoppy-nutty bitter. Body feels rather light. Overall: solid brew.

33cl bottle from Uba ja Humal, Tallinn. Pours clear copper coloured with a small, off-white head. Malty aroma with notes of dark fruits, caramel and some slightly roasty notes. Medium sweet with pleasant malty flavours and light, but fairly balanced bitterness. Not one of my favourite styles, but this one was quite tasty.

Draught @ Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend 2015
Aroma has sweet malty tones and hayish, grainy malt. Flavour has honey, grainy malt and some oat tones, A maibock in finnish way; too sweet for me but someone will enjoy this.
