Amber-brown colour. Toasty, lightly caramel, quite a rich toffee character, fairly sweet with lots of bready notes...a good malt showcase.

Hazy amber body with a small off/white head. Aroma is dominated by malt and caramel with a hint of fruity hops pine. Flavor has malt, caramel, toast and chocolate with balanced bitterness. Medium body and decent aftertaste in the same style as the flavor. OK, straight forward amber with nothing extra.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s an unclear, brown-amber beer topped by a small, light beige head. The aroma is lightly malty, caramel, chocolate and pine cones. A bit simple, but pleasant. That goes for the flavor too, the malts plays a significant part, but there’s also room for the hops. Pine cones and bitterness. Caramel and some chocolate in the finish. Nice, but a tad too one dimensional. Needs food I think. 130607
