On tap at the brewpub. An unclear dark amber beer with a small, light beige leaving curtains. In the aroma there’s a touch of caramel malts in the back, with a solid dose of citrusy, piney hops. Hints of freshly mown grass. The flavor is moderately bitter, with a little maltyness as a foundation. Pine cones, grapefruit and grass too. It’s a bit thin on the palate, at least compared to what I’d like. Soft carbonation. The bitterness is more evident in the finish than initially. Overall, it’s a nice and tasteful beer I could easily down a few of. 140228
