Sampler on tap in the brewpub. Black colour, tan head. Moderately roasty aroma and flavour with distinct notes of coffee throughout, but without the "bitter strong coffee" character that many other coffee stouts have. This apparently due to the fact that they have used cold extracted (and green?) coffee beans. Well balanced and pleasant to drink.

Pours reddish dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long coffee and licorice finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap @ the brewpub. Black body with a moderate sized, lacing tan head. Aroma is totally dominated by coffee, but it smells like really good quality coffee. This is also confirmed by the flavor, this is extraordinary good coffee. The flavor also has dark, roasted malt, dark chocolate, balanced bitterness but the strong and smooth coffee flavor is really dominating here. Full body and long aftertaste with coffee. If You appreciate good coffee, you would love this beer, close to perfection. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxwcQ1dapw8

On tap at the brewpub. It pours an almost black body and a fingerthick light tan head. Curtains. Lots of coffee on the nose, slightly edgy but rounder than a week ago. Dark chocolate, roasted malts and some piney notes. Coffee dominates the flavor too, some coffee bitterness are present, might be the malts though. Dark chocolate and some hoppy bitterness. Full body with a pleasant carbonation level. Dryish. Lasting finish. A tad too much coffee I think, but sure nice. 140724
