On tap @ the brewpub. Unclear golden body with a big, lacing, creamy off-white head. Aroma has pale malt, bread and spicy yeast, gives promises of something really refreshing. Flavor is medium sweet, mild malt, fruity yeast, a hint of honey and relatively bitter for the style. Medium body with a fruity and slightly bitter aftertaste with a hint of orange zest. Definitively not a heavy or complex beer, not really true to the style either, still I find it tasty and refreshing, quite enjoyable. Had another one later after sampling a few other beers, and then it tastes almost nothing, so it should definitively be the first beer of the day.

Draught @ Christianssand Brygghus, Kristiansand
Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, grass, hint of banana and yellow apples. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long slightly dry, grassy finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. An unclear pale orange colored beer with a small, creamy, white head. There’s a good dash of banana and orange in the aroma, with pale malts and a touch of fruits in a generic way. It’s quite heavily carbonated, too heavy in my opinion. Semi-sweet and medium to full bodied, with flavors of fruits like melon and yellow apples, some banana and orange and a little bitterness. Lasting fruity finish. Not bad at all this one, but outside my sphere of interest. If you’ve ever longed for a beer combining a kölsch and a weizen, this is probably the right choice for you. 150222
