On tap at the brewpub with TR 22.03.14. Black. Dense and persistent pale brown head and lacing. Dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted barley, good bitterness, particularly in aftertaste. Bitterness in aftertaste is balanced by vanilla.

On tap at the brewpub. A creamy dark beige to light tan head forms over a more or less black body. Cute lacings. The aroma has lots of dark chocolate, a good dash of coffee and it seems there’s tonka in here too. Roasted malts, trending towards burnt. It’s lightly spiced in the mouth, in a tonka way, with coffee grit and dark chocolate. Vanilla-like hints. Solid bitterness too, lasting for a good while. Full body with a pleasant carbonation, rather dry on the palate. Lasting roasted finish with coffee, tonka and vanilla. Perhaps a bit too much on the roasted side this one but sure lovely. Repetition needed. 150219

On tap @ the brewpub. Pitch black body with a big, foamy, long lasting and lacing off-white head. Strong and good aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Flavor is really smooth, sweet, dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee and some dry fruit with decent bitterness. Fine balanced body and long sweet medium roasted aftertaste with chocolate. Traces of yeast in the aftertaste. So smooth and nice, like a desert itself.
