On tap @ the brewpub. Unclear golden body with a medium sized, creamy off-white head. Aroma is malty, some caramel and citric fruity with a bit unpleasant butterscotch. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, fruity, quite bitter and unfortunately more butterscotch. Fine balanced body. Could have been nice this one, but the way I experience it there is an off flavor here. Still drinkable but not a high score in my book.

Pours slightly hazy copper with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt strawberries, caramel and orange. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium bitter with a long slightly dry and orange fruity bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a hazy golden body under a creamy, off-white finger thick head. Curtains. There’s a good dash of strawberry caramel in the aroma at first, soon overpowered by citrus zest and pine cones. Some grassy notes and a little caramel too. It’s rather bitter on the palate, with lots of citrus zest and resins. It’s full bodied and with a nice carbonation level, nice caramel maltyness. Most of the bitterness show up late, leaving a dry feeling in the mouth. An unusual one, better than the first impression suggests, turning out quite nice. Perhaps a bit too bitter. 141030
