On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown, next to black in the glass, with a small, dense, light tan to dark beige head. There’s quite a lot of caramel sauce and licorice in the aroma, with roasted malts, some dark chocolate and a touch of coffee. It’s full bodied, smooth and nicely carbonated, with flavors of dark chocolate, coffee and caramel sauce. Lasting finish with caramel sauce, coffee and licorice. Rather lovely this one. 150820

On tap @ the brewpub. Black body with a medium sized, dense beige head. Aroma of dark malt, chocolate and dry fruit. Flavor is sweet, dark malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and medium bitterness. Fine balanced body and sweet, moderate roasted dark malt in aftertaste. Quite nice and a bit rustic Baltic Porter, works well with the desert.
