Pitstop sammen med Cunningham, på vei østover etter Jæren Øl- og siderfestival: lett uklar gylden med fint skum som varte helt ned. Krydret fruktighet med bitterappelsin, urter og koriander (belgisk gjær?). Fin munnfølelse og deilig bitterhet i den tørre avslutningen, som også hadde en tydelig mersmak.

0,4 litre On tap at The source. Cloudy orange/ Golden with big white head. Malts, hops, Fruity, some herbal bitterness in The finnish.

Decent character for a golden ale. A fine hazed deep golden color also. So a normal golden ale is not my first impression. Normal malty flavor with some fruity and grassy notes. That is more like a blonde. A bit to rich carbonation level.

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry floral, old lawn, wet hay, minerals, leafs, soil, light malts, old moss, flowers, bark, alcohol. Taste is slightly dry floral, weeds, hay, flowers, paper, wet grass, bark, grain, minerals, medicine, old moss, soil, light malts. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and harsh medical mouthfeel. So boring.

Orangebrun farge med hvitt skum. Lukter av malt, sitrus, humle, fersken. Medium fylde. Smaker. Noe bitter avslutning.

Bottle, 750ml corked, at the brewpub. An unclear, dark orange-golden beer topped by a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma has citrus peel and pale malts, with some yeast, grass and pine cones. There’s a little sweetness in the flavor, with pale malts, citrus peel, pine cones and a nice bitterness. Medium to full body, a bit high level of carbonation, but nice, and it’s quite dryish. Bitter and fruity finish, quite dry. Far from exciting this one, a bit yeasty on the nose, but sure acceptable. 140525

750ml bottle @ Apotekergaarden. Unclear golden body with a stable, big, creamy off-white head. Moderate aroma of pale malt, yeast and spices with hint of bread. Flavor is sweet, fruity, floral and rather bitter for the style. Hint of bread and oranges. Medium body and relatively bitter in aftertaste. Not very exciting, but definitively not bad either, nice thirst quencher.

Bottle at Apotekergaarden. Deep golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is yeast, orange, malt, hop. flavour is dry, hop, yeast, orange, malt, floral. Medium body. Ordinary beer.
