A luxurious vanilla stout aged for 36 months on heavenly bourbon barrels with added vanilla and single origin cocoa nibs from the Dominican Republic. Mmmm!

We took our beer, Very Vanilla, an outrageously huge imperial stout from our Mega-series. A beer packed with a complex combo of all the dark malts you love, giving a chocolaty, sweet, fruity, and slightly roasted aroma and taste. A beer with luxurious amounts of Madagascar vanilla, adding layers of sensations to this candy for grown-ups. Then, we let that beer age in freshly emptied Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. For 36 months!

After emptying the beer from the barrels, we added even more vanilla, and we let it sit on newly roasted and grounded Standout Chocolate Dominican Republic single-origin cocoa nibs. Oh, those lovely nibs!

The result? This is our most exclusive, elaborate, and excessive beer to date. Liquid chocolate for all your saucy needs. A beverage for all the senses, one delicate sip at a time. This truly is Lyx in every meaning of the word. Luxury!

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 07/08/24. Pitch black with a khaki head that veers to the edge. Nose is chocolate, spice, bourbon, molasses, coffee bean, toffee fudge. Taste comprises chocolate cup cake, booze, vanilla icing, ripe bourbon, spice, molasses. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a good blast of alcohol but coming in way below the stated 17%. Top drawer BA impy.

Can. Opaque black brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Nose is alcoholic chocolate cake. Wow, rich chocolate cake malts, loud and clear. So very chocolate cake, turned up to 18. A little vanilla in the mid. The rich ripe bourbon fruit and bourbon spice comes through on the back end. Leaves a fruity spice dark chocolate cream linger, a little Mars Bar in there. Whew, perhaps not quite as refined or layered as the best of Angry Chair, but it is a fine margin.

Sweet, heavy and intense with some artificial vanilla, cocoa nibs, hints of bourbon and oak. Alcohol is quite well hidden. Pretty intense pastry overdose.
