Bottle. It’s a hazy dark golden beer with a minimal sized white head. The aroma has a delicate light smoke hint, lemon juice and a milky-ish sourish hint. Really pleasant, although far from complex. It’s very pleasant on the palate, with a tart sourness, a good carbonation and a medium body fullness. Not much bitterness to brag about, but some salty and spiced hints. Pale malt notes too, and a lemony fruityness and smoked malts running the show. Lasting fruity, sour and pleasantly smoked finish. Overall, a really pleasant and easy drinkable beer, quenching, tasteful and sure moreish. Wouldn’t mind more smoke aroma and flavor either. 160730

23.04.2016, 0,33l bottle hand tapped from a keg shared at local tasting, courtesy of Jan Ove:
Small slightly bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish smoked, lightly smoked malts, sour grass, weeds, hay, minerals, shed, soda powder, hotdogs water. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry, soda powder, fruit salt, sour grass, light smoked malts, sorrel, citrus acid, hay. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish mouthfeel. Nice.

Sampled at the brewery. Unclear orange body with a big, creamy white head. Rather surprisingly aroma, strong campfire, smoked sausage, mild acidity and something earthy. Flavor is distinct smoked pale malt, smoked meat, but clearly less smoked flavor than expected from aroma, distinct salt, balanced acidity and actually quite refreshing. After a while the smoked flavors feels more volatile and gets more camouflaged behind the salt and the sourness. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. A really funny and interesting beer I sure hope for would be able to taste again.

On tap @Sur & Bitter, Sandnes. Pours hazy golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is smoked malts with sausages and campfire, some bread and honey, as well as some floral notes. Medium to full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is is lactic acid, hay and lemon, some wooden notes, gooseberries and grass as well as lemon peel, and notes of herbs. Lingering dry finish. Brilliant!
