On tap @ the brewpub. What to say? It’s another well-made IPA from Christianssand Brygghus, not really that different from the previous ones. That means a fear doze of fruity bitterness balancing against a good malty base. Somehow I find this a bit in the middle between #3 and #4, where #3 very really fruity and #4 where a bit on the sweeter malty side. This one is probably the best balanced one with a fruity bitterness that not sticks out in any particular direction. Nice and balanced all the way with a full body and long lasting aftertaste. Perfect if you prefer an IPA with your burger but nothing that will follow you for a long time down memory lane.

On tap at the brewpub. An almost clear one, dark golden in colour and with a small, dense off-white head. Lightly malty aroma with a nice citrusy and resiny hop scent. Pine cones and singe grass. It’s full bodied, soft and nicely carbonated, with a nice bitterness. Pine cones, resins and citrus peel in the flavor, backed up by too much caramel malts I think. Especially too much in the finish. Still a nice one, tasteful and easy drinkable. 160123
