On tap at Bergen Ølfestival. As Apollon. A dense, beige head sits on top of an unclear, brown body. Lots of chocolate, as well as roasted malts, coffee and some nuts in the aroma. There’s a good bitterness in the flavor, with chocolate pulling the heaviest load. Coffee, roasted malts and nuts too, leading to a pleasant roasted, bitter and chocolatey finish. Full body and a good carbonation. A really fine brew indeed. 150906

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Very dark brown colour, practically black. Low beige head. Dryish aroma of coffee, brown malts and unsweetened biscuits. Hints of prunes too. Medium dry flavour, with the same elements as in the aroma. Also a hint of dark chocolate. Moderate hops.

Pours hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, caramel and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long coffee, caramel, roasted and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is rich and slightly dry roasted, dark malts, espresso, roasted grain, nuts, mocha, grass, caramel, chocolate. Taste is slightly sour-ish roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, espresso, grass, burnt caramel, nuts, chocolate, weeds. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice, but maybe it’s just a but too fresh. And I’d prefer a richer body...
