On the Brewpub 191215. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is alcohol, malt, sugar, fruit, yeast. Flavour is alcohol, malt, sugar, yeast, fruit, yeast, banana, caramel. Nice beer.

Pours hazy deep golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, fruity, yeast and hint of alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long slighlty warm, fruity, yeasty, malty and caramel finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s a hazy golden beer with a small dense, beige head. Rather fruity aroma, overripe peaches and some banana. Orange notes, white sugar and a yeasty touch. It’s lightly spiced in the mouth, full bodied, smooth and pleasantly carbonated. Banana, ripe fruits, sugary malts and a touch of grains in the flavor. Long finish. An honest beer indeed, but sort of cloying sweet, instead of the pleasant sort of sweetness strong Belgian ales are known for. 151219

On tap @ the brewpub. Unclear golden body with a fine white head. Aroma has some pale malt, but more of yeast, perfume and farin sugar. Flavor is sweet pale malt, sugar, fruity yeast, some esters and moderate bitterness. Fine balanced body and medium aftertaste. Surprisingly light and smooth despite the sweetness. It reminds me a bit about Duvel, still not exactly a clone either. Nice and easy.
