On the Brewpub 081215. Dark amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is spices, hop, roasted malt, caramel, coffee. Flavour is spices, roasted malt, hop, caramel, coffee, dried fruits, nuts, alcohol. Easy drinkable nice beer.

Draught @ Christianssand Brygghus, Kristiansand
Pours clear dark reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, some fruitiness and hint of spices and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long malty, caramel, fruity and light spiced finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to fizzy.

On tap at the brewpub. A hazy dark amber colored beer with a small, dense, beige head. Curtains. Caramel, dried fruits and nutty notes in the aroma. A nice touch of baked apples too, and the alcohol can be detected a well. It’s full bodied, lightly warming and semi sweet on the palate. Caramel sweetness, some roasted malts and nuts, a hint of chocolate and a decent bitterness, feeling more evident in the end. A really pleasant Christmas beer. 151219

On tap @ the brewpub. Unclear dark amber body with a nice, big tan head. Aroma has malt, toast, caramel and hint of dry fruit. Flavor is sweet, but not too sweet dark malt, caramel, something between toast and mild roast and fine bitterness. Nice balanced body and good aftertaste that’s both sweet and bitter. A nice and calm beer for the season – Brown Ale? Not very typical in my book.
