Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and lactose. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long coffee, chocolate, lactose and caramel finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. A very dark colored beer with a dense, firm, two finger beige head. There's quite a lot of delicious coffee in the aroma, some dark dried fruits and a faint toffee hint too. It's too effervescent on the palate, it's full bodied and creamy, with a soft bitterness. Coffee, some roasted malts, chocolate and toffee, with a hint of dried fruits in the back. Pleasant fruityness too, peach and orange. Long coffee driven finish. Too heavy on the carbonation this one, but the coffee is delicious and the fruityness suit the beer very well. 180201

Tap @ Christianssand brygghus. Good looking black body with a nice, creamy beige head. Aroma is dominated by coffee, the malt is almost in the background but contribute with some mild roast and there is also a hint of soft lactose to be found. Flavor is also totally dominated by coffee, almost too much but not enough to make the impression of drinking cold coffee. But sure this is a beer for coffee drinkers, still very smooth with light roasted dark malt, sweet, soft lactose, almost a bit like milk chocolate. Fine balanced body and of course coffee aftertaste, it actually becomes even sweeter in the aftertaste. It a rather one dimensional coffee stout with more focus at the coffee than the beer IMO, but as I happen to like coffee I find it rather pleasant to drink.
