Ok tap at Både&. A lightly hazy golden colored beer with a small off-white head. Some lacing. Ginger runs the show on the nose, with the Berliner Weisse in the back. Lemony, lightly spiced. It's medium bodied, nicely carbonated and dry, with ginger dominated flavor. Lemon, dough and funk in the flavor. Lasting finish. It's a good thing the ginger isn't the only ingredient detectable, but it's still sort of unbalanced I think. 170127

Tap @ Både &, Kristiansand. Clear golden body with a moderate sized, good lacing white head. Aroma has lots of ginger, but in a not exaggerated, even if it’s not room for much more than a hint of acid and traces of minerals. Flavor goes in the same direction, dominated by ginger in a smooth and balanced way with some sourness and light smooth malt. Its not too much ginger and not really sour, more like a very refreshing, non sweet version of a ginger ale. Body feels balanced as well with a rather long lasting aftertaste that emphasize some of the sweetness from the malt towards the end. Not much bitterness here. Not a very complex beer really, but sure well balanced and refreshing, and totally different to all other ginger beer I have tasted that tends to be a bit on the sweeter side. Wonder how this will go together with sushi?
