Growler. A lightly hazy golden colored beer with a foamy white head leaving lacing. The aroma is quite fruity, grapefruit mostly, with some pine cones, orange zest and a generic fruityness. Some flowery notes, and a faint grassy touch. It’s smooth on the palate, medium bodied and dry, with a good bitterness. Grapefruit runs the show in the flavor too, still with pine cones as a sidekick. Long, fruity finish. Sure not your average kölsch type of beer, but it’s even more refreshing and tasteful than a traditional kölsch in Cologne. Sure my kind of beer this one. 170708

2 l growler from the brewery. Unclear yellow golden body with a big, fading white head. Quite light aroma of pale malt, wheat, yeast and grapefruit. Flavor is light and refreshing as well, mild soft pale malt, some fruit, especially grapefruit and moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Nice and easy quaffable beer, probably good for a festival with a flavor that shouldn’t be able to offend anyone. But finishing a growler back in the garden I end up with the feeling of just having a rather plain, smooth lager with some grapefruit added to it. Nice and easy, but not much really going on here.
