Duggfrisk 2016. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, pine. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, pine, fruit, grass. Medium body. Easy drinkable nice beer.

On tap at Duggfrisk. A lightly hazy brown beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. Some curtains. Rather piney aroma with roasted malts, chocolate and a touch of coffee. It’s quite dry on the palate, nicely carbonated and full-bodied, with a good bitterness. Hop driven flavor too, pine cones and some generic fruityness, and a backdrop of roasted malts and dark chocolate. Lasting finish. A delicious one that I had another glass of the next day. Not the average Black IPA, a bit unusual perhaps, but it’s a nice dark hoppy ale for sure. 160819

Superficial festival rating from Duggfrisk 2016: Dark brown body under a lacing off-white head. Aroma has mild roasted malt, fruity and some pine. Flavor is medium sweet, mild roasted malt, chocolate, fruit, pine and balanced bitterness. Medium body and fine aftertaste. A smooth and nice, light version of an BIPA.

Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, winegum, dark malts, wet grass, wet hops, minerals, moss, bark, moss, burnt grain, licorice, strawberry jam. Taste is dry mineraly, weeds, bark, paper, minerals, wet grass, hay, alcohol, soil, roasted grain, harsh hops, cardboard, sawdust. Medium to longlasting, harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Meh!
