All countries, regions, and areas have their own unique produce and ingredients. Taiwan is, of course, no exception. We really admire the mountain pepper from the interior of the island. Its citrus notes, very close to lemongrass, are intense and intriguing. Our conclusion is that this works beautifully with wheat, and specifically with the fruity ester profile from the classic German wheat beer.
Banana, lemon, cloves and pepper. Light and refreshing. This is our Mountain Pepper Wheat. Does it get any better than this?

330ml can. Hazed gold with consistent swirly white head. Aroma of wheat, floral bouquet and light citrus rind hints. Taste of lemon and lime sherbet dips, Weetabix, pepper, light grass and botanicals. Medium bodied, zingy carbonation. A good example of the style.

On tap at The Rollin pours out hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice floral perfume notes and some grain. Taste is more of the nice perfect floral notes wheat grain and some spice.

Tap at Axiom. Thin body, high carbonation. A pretty well balanced combo of moderate pepper and general med-light phenols, with moderate citrusy fruitiness, fresh zesty orange/lemoj too. Light oxidation. Quite easy drinking, very good.

Opalescent pale yellow colour, medium sized dense white head; aroma of lemony, lemon zesty, perfume, some lavender, basil, rosemary and perfume notes; taste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with definite peppery notes; good one; I had to travel to Lyon to taste a Taiwanese beer again :)

330ml bottle delivered from La Bierotheque, Toulouse and drunk at home. Light yellow, fairly cloudy with a huge rocky white head. Perfumed aroma, floral notes with sweet cooking spices. Sweet taste with ground coriander and boiled sweet, leading to a light sourness to the long finish. Extremely heavy carbonation. It's a bit of a shock at first but I get used to it, and even grow to like it.

A funky spicy end to a highly carbonated beer. Clean otherwise, a bit more phenolic that Iβd like, kind of a weird alcoholy taste. but itβs an old bottle from a bottle shop from the owner in Lyon

Draught at Taphouse. Slightly hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, floral hops, spicy notes, herbal, peppers, yeasts. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and spiced fruity with peppers. Nice touch from the peppers.
