Bottle, 75cl. A still, clear, dark golden cider, headless. There's a good dash of alcohol on the nose, with apple scents dominating. Unripe apple, grass and apple cores, along with ripe apples and hints of apple jam. Some hints of wood and caramel. It's full bodied, warming, dry and bitter on the palate, bitter in an almost harsh way. Eating apples, bitter apples and some unripe apples and grass in the flavor. Woody, tannin-ish flavors too. Lasting finish. There's quite a lot of interesting stuff going on here, and I'm confident Balholm will produce some delicious cider from their foreign apples, but this one is too unbalanced. 210629

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Orange colour. Labeled as a "still naturcider", but pours sparkling with a shortlived white head. Aroma of eating apples and sour and bitter cider apples. Moderate carbonation in the mouth. The flavour is quite dry and distinctly bitter with loads of tannins, the cider apples dominate.

Kjerrheia 040420. golden color with a white head. aroma is apple, sourness. Flavor is dry, apple, sourness, fruit, grass, alcohol. A little bit dry.

Nice slightly bubbly-creamy shortlasting head, slightly cloudy golden color. Aroma is slightly dry fruity, grass, sour apples, hay, minerals, apple cores, sorrel, alcohol, flowers. Taste is dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, sorrel, alcohol, minerals, harsh apple peel, sawdust, fruit stones, bark, apple cores, medicine, paper. Medium bitterness, harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Meh!
