Ein sider laga med dei fantastiske eplene frå hardanger (Discovery, aroma, Gravenstein, varrierer frå år til år), men der ein har brukt ein tradisjonell kveik som blitt overlevert frå generasjon til generasjon.
Kveiken er i frå Hardanger, og strekk seg lengre tilbake enn 1979, men då kom den til nabo bygda. Oprinnelig frå Jordal i Odda, men uviss alder.

Dag tre på Gladmaten 2025, fra flaske: klar gylden med lett perlende munnfølelse. Ren og fin eplesmak, med et svakt hint av krydder fra kveiken. Kanskje jeg hadde det litt for travelt, for jeg opplevde denne som noe intetsigende.

Intense and pleasant aroma of eating apples, hints of oak and farmhouse. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, notes of kveik come through.

Nice and pleasant cider. Tasty and easy to drink Clear golden in the glass and a fine apple aroma Mellow sweetness and a pleasant mild acidity Gentle carbonated. Lots of apples in the flavor and some mild yeast [Bottle (batch 2021-02) – bought @ source]

Cork exploded off the bottle almost before I start untwisting the metal string. Fortunately only a tiny amount gushes out from the bottle. Big fizzy mediumlasting head, slightly cloudy golden color. Aroma is dry sour-ish fruity, apple cores, bark, minerals, leafs, flowers, yeast, mild vinegar, overripe sour apples, barnyard, shed. Taste is dry funky fruity, apple cores, flowers, leafs, apple peel, grass, yeast, bark, minerals, overripe sour apples, paper, barnyard, shed. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Weird.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A clear, pale golden colored cider, flat and still. Pleasant apple aroma with a touch of grass and little less else. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and quite soft and dry on the palate, with an apple driven flavor. Some apple cores and grass as well. Long fruity finish. A bit one-dimensional this one, but very fine indeed. Not much kveik impact here. 210523
