Tap @ Patricks. Dark brown, almost black body under a small beige head. Aroma of dark malt, licorices, and leather. Taste is medium sweet, dark malt, bitter chocolate, licorices, hint of alcohol and dry fruit. Fine body and average aftertaste. Less sweet than expected for a milk stout and really not what I consider a pastry stout. It was actually a god match to my fish & chips. Not super smooth and perfectly balanced, but it has definitively some charm.

Bergen Ølfestival lørdag formiddag: mørk og forførerisk med solide sjokoladeinntrykk, appelsinmarmelade og krydder. Fin avrunding, den er både balansert og interessant, og mersmaken er hjertelig til stede.

Bottle, 75cl. It's close to black in the glass, with a minimal sized beige head. Sweet, licorice aroma with alcohol, dark dried fruit notes and some lactose sweetness. Orange hints. It's full bodied, soft and smooth, with a light carbonation. Licorice, roasted malts, some orange and quite a lot of of sweetness in the flavor, all lasting for a good while. Long finish. More licorice than chocolate milk, but sure nice. 201106
