750 ml corked & caged clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.5%. Moderately gushing bottle. Pale golden colour, lasting white head. Aroma of wild apples, some oaky, smoky and meaty notes too. Very sour and fruity flavour, notes of sour apples, a hint of smoke. An interesting and different cider.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A well carbonated and quite clear cider of golden color. A few white bubbles gather on top and stays. The aroma is deliciously funky and promises a tart mouthfeel. Cellar, late autumn orchard, grass, barnyard, some leather and wood and an unexpected faint meaty touch in the aroma. Really delicious and complex. The ABV isn't of the highest, and the alcohol isn't really part of the aroma, but in the mouth it can be detected as a little warmth. It's tart, full-bodied and with a rather high level of carbonation, in a nice way. Not much sugary things going on here, but some white sugar flavor without the sweetness is present. Lemony sourness, unripe apple sourness, some wood and leather, lots of apple and apple cores, a touch of grass and some hints of barnyard chimes in. The flavor is of the lasting kind, and the tartness is really cleaning up the palate. This sure has the power to cut through the fat of the fattiest of dishes. A real beauty I will sure try to find more bottles of. 200716
