Eg heiter Ingrid og vaks opp på garden Torkjells. Eg var tidleg med i arbeidet saman med storesyster Marit. Om sommaren tynna me eple og plommer, pitla moreller og passa veslebror Tor. I påsken pitla me pas. Eg syns det var mykje arbeid på garden og bestemte meg for å aldri verte bonde. I 2013 vart pappa brått sjuk og døydde etter kort tid. Dette førte til nye tankar om gardsdrift. I dag er eg bonde på garden og driv i lag med mannen min, Drengen.

YG 040522. Pale golden color with a white head. Aroma is apple, sourness. Flavor is apple, sourness, grass, fruit, alcohol, herbs. Nice cider.

750 ml bottle, vintage 2020, from Vinmonopolet Odda. ABV is 8.0%. Clear and very pale golden colour, pours sparkling with a large but shortlived white head. Aroma of the Aroma apple variety. Flavour also of Aroma apples, semi-dry with some acidity, hints of sulphites. Good, but one-dimensional.

Bottle, 750ml. A quite lively carbonation forms a finger-thick fine-bubbled white head over a clear straw to golden colored body. The aroma is quite grassy, with fresh apple, some apple cores and a generic fruity sweetness. Sort of like overripe pear with a touch of honeydew melon. It's pleasantly effervescent on the palate, semi-dry and full-bodied, with a light alcohol warmth. Fresh apple, some pear and melon, notes of grass and alcohol and a faint woody, herbal touch in the flavor. Sort of fruity-sweet finish even though it's quite dry, with a good fruity flavor. Sure not bad this one, but I'd prefer a cleaner apple flavor. Worked well with some smoked and grilled pork though. 220504

Taste is dry sour-ish fruity, sorrel, apple peel, apple cores, unripe apples, hay, yeast, citrus, grass, minerals, paper, flowers, cardboard. Medium bitterness, dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Boring.

Notater fra en særdeles hyggelig kveld hos The Gentleman Accordionist, og vi starter med denne 0,75 flasken fra VP Odda: klar lys gylden med kort bruseskum. Lett perlende munnfølelse, delikat smak av Aroma-epler - frisk og lettdrikkelig på alle måter. Halvtørr, og med lang ettersmak (pluss den viktige mersmaken!).
