Fra fat på biblioteket: uklar gylden med fint skum som varer. Lys malt, brød, koriander, citrusfrukter og hint av banan. Deilig maltsmak i bunnen, mer enn det jeg vanligvis forventer av en wit, men godt er det uansett. Svært mild bitterhet og tilsvarende lett å helle i seg. Mersmaken sitter i.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s a lightly hazy pale golden colored beer with a finger-thick white head leaving lacing. The aroma has a pleasant bready, mashy maltyness, with coriander and banana. It’s medium to full-bodied, dry and nicely carbonated, with a decent bitterness. Rather malty aroma too, in a pleasant way, with bread and some mash notes, along with banana, lemon notes and coriander. More coriander than in the aroma. Medium length finish. A decent Wit indeed, but style-wise too much on the malty side. 210813

Brix Brygghus 130821. Golden-yellow color with a white head. Aroma is coriander, wheat, malt. Flavor is coriander, wheat, malt, herbs. fruit, citrus. Easy drinkable beer.

300 ml on tap at the brewpub, at a stiff price (NOK 104). Hazy pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma and flavour have the usual witbier characteristics of wheat, citrus and coriander seeds, but there is just too little of everything, and the mouthfeel is very thin. Would profit from a higher ABV. Not worth the price.
