YG 131021. Red color with no head. Aroma is apples, raspberries. Flavor is apples, raspberries, sulphur, yeast, grass. Ordinary cider.

Bottle, 375ml. A fizzy candy red lightly hazy cider. The aroma is a bit yeasty, with more focus on raspberry than on apple. Grassy, unripe apples in the back, with a touch of apple cores. It's quite effervescent on the palate, full to medium bodied and semi-sweet, feeling rather dry in the finish. Raspberry, apple cores, raspberry seed bitterness, fresh apple, hints of grass and a dash of yeast in the flavor. Long raspberry driven finish with the apples doing a solid job too. Guess there's still some activity in the bottle, judging from the carbonation level and yeastyness, and I find it too much on the raspberry side. Else it's a quite decent one. 211013

Notater fra Fridtjofens Hardangertokt aug-20: 0,375 flaske fra produsenten, delt på skuta ved kai i Leirvik, kvelden før vi setter kursen mot Stavanger etter en fantastisk uke. Klar rubinrød med bruseskum. Syrlige epler og bringebær i harmonisk samspill. Rusbrusfølelse i starten, men bringebær- og villgjærpreget sørger for at det inntrykket gir seg fort. Lett perlende munnfølelse.

Bottle shared with Holmen1 and JMD on board Fridtjofen 15.08.20. Deep red. No head. Excellently refreshing aroma and taste of sour cider apples, raspberries, cherries and raspberry bonbons.

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, clear light reddish color. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, apple peel, grass, sour raspberries, fruit stones, sorrel, berry skin, apple cores, hints of yeast and alcohol. Taste is dry sour-ish fruity, sorrel, sour raspberries, apple peel, minerals, alcohol, hay, apple cores, citrus, yeast, sour apples. Medium bitterness, slightly boozy and dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Fair enough.
