Hazy red, white head with pink hue. Aroma is fruity, cherry and zesty citrus. Normally i feel that kveik is wasted in sour beers, but here there are some notes of the fruity kveik, not the acidity of a lambic, but a nice balance of real fruit taste, combined with the yeast not overwhelmed by lactic acid.

7-3-7-3-14 On tap @ Apollon, Bergen. Pours translucent dark red, with a small creamy head. Aroma is lactic notes with fruity notes of cherries, marzipan and fruit peel, as well berries and musty minerals. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is lactic notes with cherry pits, marzipan and fruity notes of kveik with red berries. Decent enough.

Lervig Local 120822. Red color with a pinkish head. Aroma is berries, cherries, almond. Flavor is berries, cherries, almond, lemon, yeast, funk. Nice beer.

On tap at Lervig Local. It’s an unclear muddy red beer with a dense, finger-thick pinkish head. The aroma has burnt plastic, cherry, almond, lemon and a lightly funky earthiness. It’s medium to full-bodied, nicely carbonated and with a light tartness. The flavor has cherry, hints of strawberry and almost, some raspberry-like notes and acidity. Funky, earthy too. Lasting acidic finish. A bit weird this one, but drinkable. Not my kind of cherry flavored beer though. 220812
