Pszeniczny symbol Wrocławia – Schöps, warzony był już w XVI wieku, uznawany był za jedno z czołowych piw ówczesnej Europy. Historia tego piwa urywa się przeszło dwa wieki później, a do dnia dzisiejszego nie zachowała się żadna receptura. Wraz z międzynarodowym zespołem odtwarzamy ten styl, bazując przede wszystkim na opisach kronikarskich smaku tego piwa i wiedzy nt. dawnego piwowarstwa na terenach dolnego śląska. Piwo posiadało unikatowy, miodowo-muszkatołowy aromat, było oszczędnie chmielone, więc charakteryzowało się znaczną słodyczą, kontrowaną nieco przez kwaśność pochodzącą od bakterii kwasu mlekowego bytujących w porach dębowych beczek, w których fermentowało i leżakowało.
Today the forsaken recipe has been brought back thanks to the commitment of historians, brewmasters and brewers from world over. The aim of the project is to recreate a beer style that disappeared from Wrocław pubs for over 2 centuries.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy pale amber with a fluffy head. Pear, clove, stone fruit, some banana, yeast, caramel, green apple. Mild dry sourness, fruity sweetness. Medium bodied, oily creamy texture, lively carbonated, dry fruity clove finish. Overall quite similar to Urweisse however fruitier and even funky.

Tap at Žižkov fest Prague. Murky dark golden body, off-white head. Malty, honeyish aroma, bit funky, almost stale but not quite. Soft, lean taste, lightly peachy, creamy, dried fruit. Light soft herbal touches. Okay, nice, really cool to try a style like this!

Hazy amber-orange colour, medium-sized white head. Fermented raisins, straw in the nose. Light-bodied. Fizzy carbonation. Raisins, banana, some sweet orange and pale malts n the flavour. Okish.
