Black Canvas is an American style porter. The dark malts gives the beer a complex aroma of chocolate, toffees and coffee. Pairs well with BBQ and chocolate desserts.

Shared can at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours almost clear dark copper with beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, some fruity notes. Tastes slightly sweet, balanced by some bitterness and fruity acidity. Medium bodied. Reminds me more of English style porters.

Svart. Lavt lysebrunt skum som blir film. Tynn teppelacing. Ged aroma av bacon & kaffe. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken forlenger aromaen og plusser på med sjokolade. Tørr avslutning. Balansert & god!

200ml draught at Crow Bar. Good looking in the glass with a decent fawn-coloured head blanketing the glass, deep dark brown body. Inviting smell of coffee-like chocolate. Fine balanced malt-driven taste with cocoa, chocolate and a backdrop of coffee. Nicely roasted ending. Medium bodied. A good one. (Oslo, 18.08.2024).
