Only the thin, hyper attenuated, dry, Breanomyces canvas of our Saison cellar stock could properly highlight the rich fruit character extracted from the blackberries during maturation. The magic of the blackberry is found in its ability to put forth a heavy fruit profile, and unmistakably “berry” goodness, even after every bit of sugar is consumed by our microbes.

Telfords 100624. Red golden-orange color with a white head. Aroma is sourness, peaches, funk, fruit, wood , lemon. Flavor is sourness, peaches, funk, fruit, wood, lemon, berries. Very nice beer.

Bottle @ Telfords. Unclear golden orange body under a lacing, moderate sized white head. Mild funky aroma with citric fruits and wood. Taste is medium sweet and fruity with soft malt, mild wood and light funk. Fine body and fine aftertaste. Pleasant, easy drinkable and nice.

Bottle, 75cl, at Telford's. An unclear amber colored beer with a small white head. Funky aroma, leather, lemon, barnyard, with dark berries and a hint of pale malts. Tart and full bodied, nicely carbonated, fruity-sour, with flavor hints of bread and caramel in the back, and funk, berries and generic fruityness up front. Some oak notes. Medium length finish. Prefer the Belgian sours, but a nice one anyway. 240710

Bottle pour at Farmhouse Fest 2023, pours an opaque dark amber red with a small white head. Aroma brings out big bramble berry pie, rustic saison yeast, and light oak. Flavour is berry-dominant, with moderate acidity, bramble berry pie, and oak. Lots of berry and oak. Good stuff but nothing all that complex.

A taster shared with Josh, Matt, Phill, and Ryan during FHF with priceless Rachel's (yup, again!) help in organizing all the mess with glasses. Appearance: hazy copper with a white head. Aroma: cherries, some oak. Taste: same, a bit dry, bugs. Overall: good one.
