Keg draught at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Black with a small crown of khaki head. Smoky aroma, burnt malt. Bittersweet taste with a suggestion of light blackberry and salt plum. Finish is very dry, as it should be with a dry stout, but often isn't. Medium body and carbonation (although i did let is sit and warm up for a bit). Very well done.

Draft at the Twelve Taps, Whitstable. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting, frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, light chocolate. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, roasty, dry, light ashtray, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
