This Gose is inspired by a recent trip to Japan where we also caught up with Reece from Donzoko. Salty lychee is a favourite drink for the Japanese and we couldn't wait to get this into beer form. A malt base of extra pale and wheat malt has made a soft bready Gose base for the addition of Okinawan sea salt, lychee and a touch of hibiscus. The final beer has a balanced acidity and saltiness underlying the delicious and refreshing lychee.

440ml can from Burnt Mill. Yellow gold colour with pinkish tinge, foamy white head and aroma of tropical lychee, citrus, zest. Taste is tart, pale malt, wheat, zesty citric, fruity, lychee, with some sourness, salt and light bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry fruity sour salty finish. Quite drinkable.

Can at home picked up from the Fuss Clube. A mostly clear rose gold coloured pour with a fine fading white cap. Aroma is crisp, delicate pear, petal, squeeze of lemon, light tart. Flavour is composed of crisp and tart, light petrol, rose water, petal, lemon squeeze, pinch of salt, delicate flavours, Palate is super crisp, light, tart, prickly carbonation, Light and delicvate. I quite like it.
