Bottle picked up from Oproer brewpub, Utrecht, I had this back at the Hotel 2l de Blend, Friday 9th January 2026, after a long wet and later snowy walk from the hotel via De Kromme Harring (not open until 4pm, schoolboy error 😐) then into town, we visited Eetcafé de Poort first, then DeRat. Pours black with a light beige head. Roasty notes, there's coffee and chocolate mostly, Loz picks up a smokiness, she is right. A little burnt wood, chocolate again, good Impy' not too sweet, nice mouthfeel. Score 7.5

Pitch black with a beige head. Low roast notes with lots of coffee and chocolate. Sweet taste with a low bitter smooth finish. Very nice imperial stout.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Roasty with notes of coffee, soft chalk, some chocolate. Light touch of smoked chipotle. Moderate sweet with a decent roasty bitterness. Medium to full body. Pretty good Stout, works well.

A black beer with a small beige head. Aroma of sweetish strong dark malt, coffee, chocolate. Taste of roasted dark malt, coffee, chocolate, some liquorice. Moderate bitterness.

Black with thick creamy head. Lots of roasted malts. Bitter but not too much so. There is a subtle smokiness in the background.

Fles 33cl thuis. Roasted malts, liquorice, vrij zacht, wat caramel, vrij droog, bittertonen, beetje as, koffiedrab, roasted jalapeño, licht boozy, zoeten, wat sojasaus. (28-5-2022).
