Challenged by Anders Kissmeyer on the “Et Ødligt Land” podcast to brew a saison with green peppercorn; we eagerly accepted and with Anders kindly agreeing to accompany us on the journey we then challenged perennial Årets Danske Bryggeri winner; René Hansen on the following episode of “Et Ødligt Land” to brew with us here on Fanø. He accepted, the stars aligned and that is how two of the country’s most knowledgeable and recognised brewers came together with us on Fanø for a day of brewing and conversation.
This “Super Saison” is the first fruit to ripen from that day’s labours. Brewed with toasted green peppercorn and lemons and fermented with a blend of Saison and Kveik yeasts, “Défi Accepté” is straw coloured with notes of pepper and lemon balanced softly with fermented esters of citrus and noble hops.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of spices, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, hops, and malt, leading to a dry finish.
