Black Potion in een flink dikke Pastry Stout van 13,8% die je smaakpapillen versteld doen staan. Door het gebruik van gebrande mouten verkreeg niet bier zijn zwarte kleur. We hebben dit bier gebrouwen met pruimen en abrikozen, waarna we maple syrup en vanille hebben toegevoegd.

Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a beige cap that thins to the edge in time.
Nose is sweet malts, maple syrup, molasses, brown sugars.
Taste comprises light roast, booze, perfume, dried red berries, Turkish Delight.
Medium bodied wit bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
So so affair ... sweet and sugary and lacking any discerning flavours.

Can. Near clear deep amber brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, good fine carbonation. Soft fruity chocolate, candy chocolate fruits like a specialist Easter Egg. Ruby chocolate. Ripe pruney figgy goodness on the back end. Nicely done, very drinkable for the abv and with a good non-barrel intensity.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, quite some caramel, chocolate, vanilla, very nice, very pleasant. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: nice, a bit sweet, caramel, earthy, some tonka beans, cinnamon notes, a bit minty. Aftertaste: more roast, malty, caramel, vanilla, alcohol.
