For this UFO, we worked with gentian root. We let this bitter root infuse in our beer for a few days then added some orange zest to it! It's like an Aperole spritz twisted with beer!

Couleur sur l'ambre léger, col fin blanc-cassé.
Arôme est frais avec une gentiane qui brille ici, et vient rappeler ce belle liqueur de montagne la Suze. Bouquet parfumé sur les agrumes avec ce rappel d'orange et mandarine zestées avec un léger terreux herbacé en rétro-nasal. Effet infusion.
Palais est de suite intéressant avec une gentionae clairement au menu de ce gruit avec l'usage de racine d egentiane qui procure un caractère terreux nettement plus marqué en bouche que au nez où cela partait sur des agrumes. Léger malté qui accompagne tout cela - cela reste de l'ordre de pils.

Cloudy dark orange beer, small aery irregular yellowish head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: very earthy, metallic touch, fruity notes, some oranges. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, earthy, sourish, wormwood, orange peel, a bit metallic, lemony, grapefruit, bitter. Aftertaste: ok, fruity, lemony, sourish, orange peel.
