A slight gusher of a can. Dark with a tall dark head. Chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, dirt throughout. The dirt was a frustrating sidekick to an otherwise enjoyable coffee stout.

Can at home. Clear dark mahogany pour with a thin tan head that gives way to a thick lacing. Aroma notes of cold brewed coffee and roasted malts. The taste follows the same notes, a very simple but well-made sweet stout. Medium body and carbonation and a roasty bitter finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Overcast Espresso Stout on 10 Nov 2016 at 21:04 - Score: 8

On tap at Både&. A dense finger thick dark beige head forms over a more or less black body. Nice curtains. Roasted, lightly burnt aroma with hints of charcoal and a good dash of dark chocolate and coffee. Lovely but a tad weak. More pronounced flavor, with roasted malts and a good dash of espresso and dark chocolate. Bready hints. Decent bitterness too. Lasting roasted, coffee-ish finish. Dry, nicely carbonated and smooth on the palate. A really fine one, well worth a revisit. 160213
